My name is Israel Teran, a freshman sprinter at Northwestern Oklahoma State University. I am looking to run the 200m, 400m, and relays. I’m lean, explosive, and built for this sport.
Track is not just a sport to me, it gave me a whole new direction. Before I found sprinting I didn’t know where I was going. I was dealing with depression, trying to figure out who I was, acting out, and just feeling lost. When I stepped on a track for the first time in 2025 something clicked and the journey began.
It wasn’t easy. I had a stomach problem that made me throw up after almost every race and workouts. Nobody could figure it out so I had to research and change everything. It started with my diet, a structure workout plan, and supplement schedule. My sleep was another big factor. Although, I was able to improve my stomach issues, every time I run I know what might happen at the end but I still go because quitting isn’t me.
I started my junior year, never touched a track before that. First year I made Regionals in the 200. Senior year I made State in the 400. My hard work earn me a scholarship to NWOSU.
What sets me apart is my mentally toughness, determination and dedication. I know a lot of people say these things, but I’ve lived them. And I still have a good sense of humor and love to laugh.
Family means everything to me and I care about people who don’t have much or feel like they don’t have a voice.
I have been through a lot in my short 18 years and want to us my experience to help others rise up, find their “Why” and be confident and happy in who they are. If my story can help someone out, then the purpose of my struggles are bigger than myself and mean more.
I want to work with brands that represent me as much as I represent them.
Supplements, hydration, apparel, track spikes, track accessories, recovery tools, mental health, lifestyle, nutrition, and track workout brands.
